Corinthians have really hit the mark with their 2020-21 shirt. Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the club’s first Campeonato Brasileiro Série A title, the club and their kit providers Nike have opted for an extremely classic look.

This look starts with the two-button collar, and while I have not always been keen on these classic-look collars, the simplicity of the rest of the shirt and the white through-line running around the collar allows it to fit nicely.
I am also amazed at the texture of the shirt. At first glance it gives the look of an old-school cotton design from the 1960s, but this appears to have been achieved by the use of a ribbed pattern throughout the shirt. It looks as though lots of time and effort has gone into achieving this look, and it has certainly paid off!
The shirts in the released photos so far also seem to be absent of the club’s BMG shirt sponsor, so it will be interesting to see if this is added to the player issue shirts. Personally, I really hope we get left with this clean, sponsor-less design.
A final note, and one made brilliantly by our own Phil Delves, is the presentation of the new shirt by Corinthians and Nike. It appears that they have made a real effort to reflect the culture and people of the São Paulo club, presenting the shirt in the environment their fans will wear it.
This summer is (understandably) shaping up to be one of the worst in terms of kit release aesthetics. @Corinthians are doing their best to buck that trend though. pic.twitter.com/ZAguOYKP6r
