Every home, away & third kit from 1990/91 to 2024/25 — manufacturer, colourway, key player and where to find an original
Few clubs in world football have produced kits as iconic as Arsenal. From the notorious yellow “Bruised Banana” away shirt of 1991–93 to the deep redcurrant Highbury tribute of 2005/06, and from the Invincibles’ clean red-and-white to the retro revival under adidas — the Gunners’ shirt history is a story worth telling season by season.
This is the definitive reference guide to every Arsenal shirt since 1990: home, away and third kits across all three manufacturer eras — adidas, Nike and Puma. For each season you’ll find the colourway, the standout player who wore it, and a direct link to buy an authentic vintage original from Football Shirt Collective.

The 1991–93 adidas away shirt — nicknamed the “Bruised Banana” — is widely considered the most iconic Arsenal shirt ever made. Its bold yellow and black design divided opinion at the time but has since become one of the most sought-after vintage football shirts in the world. The 2003/04 Invincibles home shirt and the 2005/06 redcurrant Highbury tribute are close rivals.
Arsenal’s shirts have been made by three manufacturers: adidas (1990–1996), Nike (1994–2014), Puma (2014–2018), and adidas again from 2018 to the present. The current kit deal with adidas is reportedly worth around £300 million over five years.
During the historic 2003/04 unbeaten Premier League season, Arsenal wore a red and white home shirt made by Nike with the O2 sponsor. The away shirt that season was a blue Total 90 design. These shirts — particularly with Thierry Henry’s name and number — are among the most collectable vintage Arsenal shirts available.
Football Shirt Collective is one of the best sources for authentic vintage Arsenal shirts. Every shirt is hand-checked and verified before listing. You can find originals from the early adidas era right through to recent adidas kits. Browse their full Arsenal shirt collection here.
The “Bruised Banana” refers to Arsenal’s 1991–93 adidas away shirt. The design features a yellow base with bold black and purple graphic stripes running down the body, creating a visual effect that some compared to a bruised banana. It was worn by Ian Wright, Tony Adams and David Rocastle and has since been reissued by adidas Originals due to popular demand.
Arsenal’s current shirt manufacturer is adidas, who returned to the club in 2018. The partnership has already produced several popular designs including a 2019/20 away shirt inspired by the Bruised Banana and bold home shirts featuring the three stripes on the sleeves in Arsenal’s classic red-and-white colourway.
