In the summer of 2022 the Design Museum, hosted an exhibition to explore the story behind football and the role design played.
Produced in partnership with the National Football Museum in Manchester, the exhibition reveals the master-planning of the world’s most significant football stadiums, the design innovation used in today’s boots, how the graphic design of team badges, kits and posters shape a club's identity and how grassroots initiatives are pushing back against the sport’s commercialisation and featured items from Messi, Pelé, George Best and Diego Maradona.
An exhibition like this needed a collection of vintage football shirts and merchandise that would live up to the exhibition.
We worked with the Design Museum to source a range of vintage football shirts, scarves and artwork - all from independent suppliers in the UK.
Our book, Your First Football shirt was also reprinted and available for purchase.
The collection was installed and ran in the Design Museum store for 3 months that the exhibition ran and all items sold out.
If you are looking to stock a collection of vintage football shirts, concepts, artwork or anything else let us know by getting in touch here.
