Some templates are of their time. Nike's Total 90 defined it.
For a couple of seasons in the mid-2000s, it felt like every big Nike team looked the same, and nobody minded one bit. The sweeping panel lines, the mesh sides, the bold T90 branding: you could spot one from the back of the stand. Two decades on, it's still one of the most requested eras in our archive. We've sold 60 shirts from Nike's 2004–06 T90 era to collectors in 12 countries, and when a good one lands in stock, it rarely hangs around.
Nike launched Total 90 for Euro 2004 in Portugal, and it was everywhere that summer. The hosts wore it all the way to the final. So did the Netherlands, Croatia and Russia. Then it rolled straight into the club game for 2004/05, with Nike's biggest clients all getting their own version.
It was built around Nike's "zero distraction" idea: light, out of the way, made for the pitch. What it ended up being was one of the most recognisable silhouettes football has ever had. Nike clearly agrees. In 2025 it brought T90 back with reissues of the 2004 national team shirts.

Our best-selling T90 shirts, by a distance: 20 sold across home and away, a third of everything we've shifted from the era. This is the first season after the Invincibles, with O2 on the front and Thierry Henry at the absolute peak of his powers. It ended with an FA Cup. Henry's #14 is on 14 of those shirts, which tells you everything about who people are buying them for.

"Shirts like the vintage 2004 United home kit will bring back memories of a fresh faced Portuguese winger still finding his feet somewhat, but boy did he find them." – Mike Maxwell, FSC
Our single most-sold T90 shirt, with 15 sold. Vodafone on the front, and a 19-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo doing stepovers on the wing. Ronaldo's #7 is on 11 of them, with Rooney and Solskjaer making up most of the rest.
"Absolutely love my 04/05 Ronaldinho Barcelona shirt. As always it came in great condition and came really fast." – Derek Richardson, FSC customer
Barcelona's take on T90 kept the blaugrana stripes front and centre. The season Ronaldinho took them back to the La Liga title, and the season a 17-year-old wearing #30 made his debut. Messi #30 shirts from this season account for half our Barcelona T90 sales.
The shirt that started it all. Deep red with green trim, worn by Figo and a teenage Ronaldo in #17 on home soil. It ended in heartbreak, losing the final to Greece, but it's still the definitive T90 shirt. Football Kit Archive users rate it among the best of the template.
Orange, V-neck, Van Nistelrooy up front, Robben on the wing. A semi-final run and one of the cleanest T90 shirts ever made. It's the one Nike chose to reissue first in 2025.
Yellow, green trim, Ronaldo's #9 and Ronaldinho's #10. Brazil's T90 shirt carried them to the 2005 Confederations Cup and into the 2006 World Cup.

The T90 era is one of the most faked on the market. Henry, Ronaldo and Messi shirts from 2004 are exactly what counterfeiters target. Every shirt we sell is hand-checked and 100% authentic, with 10+ photos per listing so you know exactly what you're getting. Where we can, we stock shirts with official flock name sets rather than aftermarket printing. That's why we're rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Nike brought T90 back in 2025. Nothing beats the original.
