Fulham shirts don't shout. White shirt, black trim, a bit of red if you're lucky. Nobody puts one on to be noticed.
But look closer and there's a lot going on. The best-named sponsor in English football. A pizza chain. The first betting sponsor in the country. A Frenchman, an American and a Texan who all became cult heroes by the river.
We haven't sold many Fulham shirts, and we're not going to pretend otherwise. Twelve in our order records, and two in stock right now. But our writer Phil Delves has covered the Pizza Hut era in detail, and the shirts we have had through our hands tell a good story.
What you need to know about the greatest Fulham shirts

Jean Tigana's side won the First Division in 2000/01 with 101 points, and did it in this. Phil Delves reckons the sponsor was "quite possibly the best named sponsor in all of football". Demon Internet. Hard to argue. The logo was surprisingly quiet for a name that loud, and the shirt is one of the cleanest adidas made in that era.

Fulham's first season in the Premier League, a new crest, and a new sponsor. Phil wrote a whole piece on it for our Our Shirts Don't Need Saving series:
"Fulham arrived to the Premier League in style in 2001/02, transitioning from Demon Internet to none other than Pizza Hut." - Phil Delves, Football Shirt Collective
The red hat on the logo picked up the red on the collar and cuffs. Edwin van der Sar was in goal. Saha, Boa Morte and Malbranque were up front. And it lasted a single season:
"The Pizza Hut era at Craven Cottage was as short as it was sweet, lasting only 1 season" - Phil Delves, Football Shirt Collective
We've never had one in. If you have, we'd like to hear about it.

Same design as the year before. Different sponsor. As Phil points out, Betfair became the first gambling sponsor in English football on this shirt. Look at the front of a Premier League shirt today and you can see where it started. It isn't a better-looking shirt than the Pizza Hut one. It is a more important one.

Puma took over, Fulham were playing home games at Loftus Road while Craven Cottage was rebuilt, and Louis Saha was scoring like he'd never stop. Manchester United bought him in January. The limited-edition third shirt from this season has sold two, level with the 1999-2001 home.

Fulham were founded in 1879, so 2004 meant 125 years, and the shirts said so. It's our most popular Fulham shirt, with three of the "125 Years" home and away sold. And the club was back at the Cottage. A Saha #8 home with the 125 Years detail is in stock now, size XXL.

How many clubs name a bar after a striker? Fulham did it for Brian McBride. An American centre-forward who'd head anything, play through anything, and captain the side. Fulham fans still talk about him like family. His #20 home is in stock, size S.
Roy Hodgson took over mid-season with Fulham heading down. On the last day, Danny Murphy headed the winner at Portsmouth and they stayed up. Every club has a season its fans would frame. For Fulham, this is one of them.
Fulham beat Juventus 4-1 at the Cottage, with Clint Dempsey's chip still one of the best goals the ground has seen. Then they reached a European final in Hamburg and lost to Atlético Madrid in extra time. A run like that from a club like Fulham doesn't come round often. We've had one shirt from this season, an away, and it went.

Clint Dempsey scored 17 Premier League goals in this shirt, a club record for a single Premier League season. A Texan at Craven Cottage, wearing #23 and running the show. That's a Fulham story if ever there was one.
Sample size caveat: this covers 12 recorded units. That's too few to call anything a ranking, so read this as what's sold, not what's definitively most popular.
| Shirt / era | Units sold |
|---|---|
| 2004/05 "125 Years" home and away | 3 |
| 1999-2001 home | 2 |

Only one of the 12 shirts in our order records carries a player name. Fulham fans, it seems, buy for the badge. We've since listed more Saha, Dempsey and McBride shirts, so expect this table to grow.
| Country | Units sold |
|---|---|
| United Kingdom | 8 |
| Canada, Indonesia, Ireland, United States | 1 each |
Our pick is the 2001/02 Pizza Hut home, worn in Fulham's first Premier League season. Going by our own sales, the most popular is the 2004/05 "125 Years" shirt.
For one season only, 2001/02, Fulham's first in the Premier League. Pizza Hut replaced Demon Internet and was replaced by Betfair.
