After a few seasons in the wilderness, the Barcelona home kit is back to it’s classic striped look.

The stripes are just the beginning of the story though. A thick yellow collar is the most notable feature of this design, and it’s a clear nod to one of the greatest sides to every play the game.
Barcelona’s 2010/11 team were most famous for their masterclass against United in the Champions League final, and though there were many peaks across the 00s and 10s for the club, the 2010 vintage was certainly one of the highlights.
There’s a lot more going on too, with yellow pinstripes framing each blue and red stripe, and an interesting gradient design inside said stripes. I must admit I’m not overly fussed about the aesthetics of the gradient, but having said that I love how the design complements the new Vaporknit construction (the fingerprint texture).
This is perhaps the first Nike shirt which looks tailor-made for the new texture, and though we can only enjoy the combo on player issue shirts, it’s something that stands out to me nonetheless.
4/5 stars
