We caught up with Aston Villa fan Matt Whitehouse (The Whitehouse Address) to talk dressing like Dean Saunders, Riquelme Argentina shirts and 5 class goals. This interview was part of our My First Football Shirt series.

Following Villa’s League Cup victory over #mufc the directors of the club were all presented with player issue cup final shirts that were personalised with their names and the number 94. This one belonged to Doug’s eldest son Peter. pic.twitter.com/barzTPv4og
First football shirt was Aston Villa’s 1993/94 home shirt made by Asics. It had a buttoned up collar and Whitehouse 9 on the back. Dean Saunders was my idol so there was no other choice for me.
The Argentina squad for the 2006 World Cup was hella underrated pic.twitter.com/pfxxBJZ4OC

There are many shirts I’ve loved. Recently I have really like Germany’s away kit, the one they wore in the 2014 World Cup. PSG and Bayern’s away kits this season are very nice also.
But I do like the more retro type shirts. I love the Brazil 1970 and also a big lover of the 1998 World Cup France shirt. Perhaps my favourite shirt, however was Argentina’s away shirt from 2006.
The colour was great and I think of Riquelme in that shirt. Guess I like the national team shirts more than club shirts, perhaps a reason for that is modern sponsors, whose logo’s often ruin a nice shirt!
😱 Zinédine Zidane's spectacular volley in the 2002 final! 🚀🎯

My favourite goal? That is a tough question and there are so many to chose from, so I am going to have to give you 5;
No. 5 Ronaldinho Barcelona vs Real Madrid Nov 2005
No. 4 Cambiasso Argentina vs Serbia Jun 2006
No. 3 Lionel Messi – Barcelona vs Real Madrid Feb 2012
No. 2 Diego Maradona Argentina vs England (the dribble) 1986 World Cup
No. 1 Zidane Real Madrid vs Leverkusen 2002 Champions League Final (also chosen by Dan Walker as his favourite goal)
If you loved that Zidane goal as much as Matt, then pick-up a Zizou Galacticos jersey here.
