Manchester United and adidas originals have released a new set of jerseys inspired by the 1992 classic designs and fans are divided.
The shirt is red on red with an aztec style print similar to the white and blue away shirt. Here’s what adidas originals had to say about them.
Based on an early ’90s piece, this men’s piqué jersey features a vivid red-on-red pattern inspired by Aztec design. Subtle piping decorates the shoulders, while the Manchester United team crest, their sponsor’s brand name, and a Trefoil logo are all up front and red to match.
The shirt has caused a bit of a stir amongst United fans, as it didn’t come with the Sharp logo that was originally featured but those who weren’t expecting it are loving it. Here are some of the reviews featured on the site.
Noddy 15 sent his back
This was released for order with the old sponsor ‘Sharp’ on display – Received the order and the sponsor was missing – ruined a cracking looking shirt and is now pointless in my opinion. Returned
Busymum1984 think adidas dropped the ball
Top does not have SHARP sponsor across the front even though the picture has and the description says it has, false advertising!
MrSSingh rate the vintage look
This shirt stands out from other Man United shirts due to the look and feel. The classic element is a nice touch by Adidas, who continue to bring quality products out.
We think its class and are loving the adidas originals collection. You can grab yours here or pick up your own banger in our marketplace.
