The wonderful 2018 Japan home shirt from adidas was a textbook example of quality shirt design that possesses more than meets the eye. The all-over pattern was inspired by the armour of Samurai, and indeed the unique design was one of the undisputed best of the year. Alongside Nigeria and Croatia’s away shirt, it will be one of the most talked about kits from the World Cup in decades to come.
