The Arsenal 1988-91 away shirt made by adidas is now available. Shipped form the UK with first-class postage available.
Condition: Very good
Size: Described as small but fits like a medium.
Condition details: Bright colours, nice material feel with a the odd pull and bobbles and slight mark in bottom left corner (see pics). Badges and sponsor are great for the age with just some minor fade to the club badge and sponsor. Original label is still in check.
Shirt Story: When Arsenal won the league on the final day of the 1988/89 season, they did so wearing this shirt.
Liverpool were top by 3 points heading into the last matchday, and they’d secured the FA Cup just days earlier. This didn’t faze the Gunners though, who duly won 2-0 to claim the league on goal difference.
Everything about the yellow and navy adidas shirt they wore that day screams class; the trefoil, cannon crest, JVC logo and pattern throughout the body of the shirt. This was a garment fitting for the occasion.
Who made it: Adidas
Who wore it: Tony Adams, David Rocastle, Perry Groves
