Vintage Arsenal shirts: what to know
Arsenal's shirts fall into four manufacturer eras: adidas (1986–94), Nike (1994–2014), Puma (2014–19) and adidas again from 2019.
Shirt sponsors follow their own timeline: JVC (1981–99), Sega and Dreamcast (1999–2002), O2 (2002–06) and Fly Emirates from 2006.
The most sought-after vintage Arsenal shirts are:
- The 1991–93 adidas "bruised banana" away shirt – yellow with a dark zigzag print and the JVC logo. It is our best-selling Arsenal shirt design.
- The 2003–04 Nike home shirt – red with white sleeves and the O2 logo, worn by the Invincibles during their unbeaten Premier League season.
- The 2005–06 Nike "redcurrant" home shirt – made for Highbury's final season, in the darker red Arsenal wore in their first season there in 1913.
