Some shirts just hit different. The new 2025–26 Werder Bremen third kit is one of them. Released to mark the 60th anniversary of the club’s first league title, this shirt blends nostalgia and style in a way collectors will appreciate.
Werder’s first German league title came in 1965. This shirt drops just in time for the 60th anniversary — and it doesn’t shy away from that legacy, with a subtle tribute on the collar.
Not loud, not forced — just respectful, well-placed detail.
Green and white is classic Werder. But this version adds a twist: deep copper trim that nods to vintage prestige.
It runs through the sleeve and neck detailing — clean, sharp, and easy on the eye. It’s not flashy, it’s just smart.
It’s always a risk when shirts experiment with gradients. But here, the fade from dark green down the body adds depth without being distracting. It feels retro but not dated — a modern nod to old-school texture.
Check the back of the shirt and you’ll find retro-style numbers. They look straight out of the 60s. It’s a simple touch, but one that transports you back to Werder’s title-winning side.
Werder did this with last seasons anniversary shirt. This wasn’t just a studio shoot. Two icons from the 1965 title squad — Günter Bernard and Hans Schulz — featured in the kit launch.
That’s how you do nostalgia right. Real players. Real connection. Real story.
The men’s team will debut it this Saturday 17th May against RB Leipzig and the women’s team wear it Sunday away to Freiburg.
