Last year, everyone went crazy for our new shirts with retro sponsors series.
The premise was simple: replace the sponsors of modern football shirts with famous logos from the corresponding clubs' histories. We spanned the globe to cover as many major teams as we could, and in virtually every case the shirts just looked better compared to the actual 2020/21 designs.
Naturally, we couldn’t resist running it all back and repeating the trick for 2021. Already this year we’ve seen some potentially iconic designs ruined by an unwelcome corporate logo, but returning to the famous faces of old has been like a much-needed, nostalgic tonic.
Here’s a selection of our favourites so far from the series.
Inter Milan x Pirelli
