Last year, everyone went crazy for our new shirts with retro sponsors series.

The premise was simple: replace the sponsors of modern football shirts with famous logos from the corresponding clubs' histories. We spanned the globe to cover as many major teams as we could, and in virtually every case the shirts just looked better compared to the actual 2020/21 designs.

Naturally, we couldn’t resist running it all back and repeating the trick for 2021. Already this year we’ve seen some potentially iconic designs ruined by an unwelcome corporate logo, but returning to the famous faces of old has been like a much-needed, nostalgic tonic.

Here’s a selection of our favourites so far from the series.

    Inter Milan x Pirelli

Newcastle United x Newcastle Brown Ale

    Manchester United x SHARP

    Liverpool x Carlsberg

    Parma x Parmalat

    Arsenal x JVC

    Sampdoria x ERG

    PSG x OPEL

    Chelsea x Coors

    Spurs x Holsten

    Liverpool x Candy

    Crystal Palace x Fly Virgin

This is just the beginning! We’re planning to continue the series throughout the summer and into the start of the season. If you have any suggestions which you’d like us to cover, drop us a comment either on here, on Twitter or on Instagram.

We can’t promise to fulfil every request, but there’s every chance your new shirts retro sponsors combo will be chosen!
