Remember when you were a kid and you'd get your football shirts a couple of sizes too big so they'd last longer. Well that's what football shirt collector, Eugene Vlok (Total Football Shirts) did and it paid off as he's still rocking the 2002 Arsenal home shirt.
    • Eugene is the founder of Total Football Shirts, collector of vintage shirts from South Africa, check out his collectionhere.

What was your first football shirt?

It was not easy to get shirts in South Africa at that time, so aged 13 got an Arsenal 2002-04 home shirt made by Nike but it was way, way too big for me. To be honest it still doesn’t fit now but still wore it with pride. I still have it!

What is your favourite football shirt?

As a football fan I love the classic Ajax shirts! As an Arsenal supporter I would say 1971 Arsenal home and away shirts. (The same choice as Arseblog) It should be the template for all Arsenal shirts. Red home shirt with sleeves home and yellow away shirt.

What is your favourite football moment?

Favourite game I attended I was standing in the middle of the Yellow Wall when Dortmund scored an injury time winner against Hoffenheim. Was an evening game as well so the atmosphere was amazing!
