Shirt Story: The abstract 'painted on' design effect has become a fairly popular trop in recent years, and can be used to good or bad effect. This Gamba Osaka home shirt is certainly the former, with blue and black paint strokes cut across the jersey.

Alongside these strokes is an embossed player, Umbro shoulder taping and (my favourite) a centralised logo.
