So I’ve mentioned Leeds shirts quite a lot in that headline, but it’s essential I have your undivided attention for this one.
Leeds United have had a flying start to the season, and their stash isn’t too shabby this season either.
But back in 1990-91, they wore one of their most iconic shirts in a rich history of iconic shirts.
Manufactured by Umbro and sponsored by TOPMAN (yes, TOPMAN), they produced one of the finest shirts English football has ever seen. Just drink it in for a minute:
After returning to the top flight following eight seasons in Division Two, they drafted in Vinnie Jones, Gary McAllister, Gary Speed and Gordon Strachan in a bid to reach their former heights.
Leeds finished fourth in this absolute beaut, establishing themselves in the English top flight once more before winning the title the following season. Utterly timeless.
