Ajax De Meer Home Shirt, 1996-97
Before the Johan Cruijff ArenA, there was De Meer Stadion. Ajax’s former home opened its doors in 1934, before going on to become the scene of many a legendary moment.
In 1996 Ajax made the move to new premises, and the occasion was naturally marked with a football shirt. For the biggest match of the season against PSV, Ajax wore a special shirt with unique details including the printing of the stadium within the shirt, and a beautiful patch on the placket on the shirt. The match ended 1-1, with cult heroes Kanu and Ronaldo scoring for their respective sides.
Crystal Palace Home Shirt, 1988-89
This Crystal Palace shirt is dripping in nostalgia. It starts with Bukta, the brand who worked with a host of teams including Ajax, Arsenal, and Spurs. Bukta’s stint with Palace was a success from a kit perspective, and this 1988 design brings with it the best sponsor the team have ever had.
Anyone who grew up watching football at the turn of the 90s will remember when Virgin sponsored The Eagles, and the sponsor is notable for its sheer size.
As if all this wasn’t enough, this shirt is also peak Ian Wright.
Kashima Antlers Home Shirt, 1993
In truth we could have chosen either of the Kashima Antlers shirts in our collection, with the Umbro designed 1996 home shirt a stunner in its own right. However, there are a few things about the 1993 Antlers shirt that saw it grab a place on this list.
First-off, as a Mizuno manufactured jersey, this shirt is significantly rarer brand wise, with the Japanese brand sadly squeezed out of the game in the decades since their 90s peak. Then we have those free-flowing blue which cut through the collegiate-style club name print, seeming to represent both fire and water all at once. There are bonus points in there too for the pattern carrying through on the shirt collar.
FC Nordsjælland Home Shirt, 2021-22
Size: S, M, XL, XXL
If you are looking for something a bit more modern this Black Friday Weekend, then look no further than our Modern Classics collection of shirts, which range from Fluminense in Brazil to PAOK in Greece.
In terms of a Black Friday recommendation, we cannot look any further than the FC Nordsjælland home shirt from this season.
After a rebrand a couple of years ago, the aesthetics of FC Nordsjælland have been a stand-out in the Danish Superliga, with their red and yellow colour scheme an eye-catcher on the pitch. But for 2021-22, they have stepped it up, with a pin-striped design complimented by an embossed flame pattern throughout the jersey, and finished by a colour-coded shirt sponsor in DHL.
NASA Concept Shirt – Orange
Size: S, M, L, XL
All of our concept kits, from the NASA jerseys to the Compton concepts, are 100% original designs sure to make you stand out at your next game of 5-a-side. But if you really want to go that extra step, we recommend our NASA concept shirt in orange.
Not only does the bright colour allow the shirt’s features to stand-out, but it will give you the full spacesuit effect!
