In case you haven’t noticed already, we are a little bit obsessed with Venezia FC and their brilliant output in terms of shirts in recent seasons. So, when they recently gained promotion back to Serie A via the Serie B play-offs we were celebrating alongside our Venetian friends!

To celebrate that achievement, we have a Venezia concept shirt from @saintetixx taking centre stage in today’s review. The design builds on Venezia’s use of those standout ‘Arancio, Nero, Verde’ colours over a black base that have stolen every kit lover’s heart over the last few seasons. Let’s take a closer look at the Venezia concept kit design!

    Venezia FC

    The design

The last two seasons have seen Venezia utilise their orange, black and green colour scheme in a number of ways, from a PSG style ‘Hechter stripe’, to classic hoops, and @saintetixx has put his own spin on this design. Deconstructing the usual striped/hooped approach, the concept sees fading and interrupted lines of orange and green cut across the shirt from top to bottom.

This allows the black base of the shirt to stand out, and on closer inspection this aspect of the shirt is adorned with the ribbed lines of Nike’s latest player issue tech, which give a contrasting look to the black of the shirt whilst ensuring that we are not left with just a plain black base.

The standout colours are then used on the shirt’s features, bringing some life to the collar and cuffs of the shirts. To top it all off, that iconic ‘Venezia Football Club’ font takes centre-stage in place of a shirt sponsor and certainly adds a special element to this beautiful design.

What next for football’s most exciting kits?

As we already covered, we cannot wait to see Venezia in Serie A next season. After the success of last season’s home and away shirts Venezia, Nike and the club’s creative agency, Fly Nowhere have a lot to live up to, but @saintetixx may have just given them all a little bit of help in the right direction with his Venezia concept kit.

Whatever the outcome of next season’s shirts we can’t wait to see them and continue Venezia’s ride together! #ArancioNeroVerde

    Who is @saintetixx?

Clément Thierry is a concept designer from France, and has a steady output of almost a new concept design every day. However, the quantity does not decrease the quality, with his designs for teams across Europe’s top leagues all keeping a refined design that allows for some of the classic elements of these team’s shirts to stand out, such as in a previously featured Manchester United concept.
