Goodbye stripes, hello zigzags! Nike surprise with the 2020 Inter home shirt

2020 Inter home shirt review

100 Word Reviews – The latest shirts in bitesize chunks

There is nothing sacred in shirts any more.

After Barca went all Croatia on us, and Juventus upset the apple cart with a half and half design, Inter have swapped out their traditional stripes in favour of a zigzag pattern for the latest Nerazzurri home shirt.

Unlike Barca and Juve though, this one actually works. Despite the bold departure, we still have something broadly resembling stripes, and the inspiration of the Biscione (the viper, and historic symbol of Milan) is one which makes sense.

This is very much a marmite look though, and something of a slap in the face for purists.
