Erreà rolls out The English Teams, a collection for all their English clubs

When talking about kit manufacturers, I like to consider brands in terms of their full portfolio of teams.

Take Nike for example. I’m interested in what they’re producing for everyone from Chelsea to Southend United. If I’m talking about Puma, I want to look at the new Manchester City kits in context with the latest releases from Luton Town.

Despite this, it’s rare we actually see a manufacturer produce a collection of pieces that bring all their teams together under one roof. Erreà are bucking that trend though, with a distinctive new collection of lifestyle shirts for ALL their English clubs.

The English Teams collection boasts a number of eye-catching features right out the gate. There are shared features across the shirts, like a black contrast collar, buttons and black patches for the Erreà logos and crests, but individual design details can be found on each kit too.

Hoops, stripes, pinstripes, quarters, it’s all here with a heavy dose of retro flair. For some shirts, like QPR or Lincoln, we have the sorts of designs you’d hope to see on a good, limited-edition anniversary shirt. For other shirts like Norwich, we have a relatively fresh take on the club style which looks just as effective.

These are retro-inspired shirts which do a great job of evoking the looks of the past. Behind every shirt, there are 24 different processing steps according to Erreà, and the collection was conceived by an in-house research and development department who drew inspiration from the roots of the game in England.

I love seeing the shirts as a collective. There’s no bias towards any particular club, and there are even designs for relatively ‘new’ clubs like MK Dons and FC United of Manchester. It’s a move which won’t be to everyone’s taste, but personally I’m a fan of this sort of treatment from a brand.

If I had to choose a favourite, I’d lean towards the Walsall and Rochdale shirts which look like a pair of incredible AC Milan and Inter Milan kits respectively. It’s hard to look past Norwich too, with that wonderful colour combo.

Expect The English Teams to drop directly from Errea very soon.
