If you don’t follow Tomikoshi Photography on Instagram you need to. The Japanese photographer is the best in the business and has documented so hundreds of amazing football players and matches from J-League, World Cups and the Premier League.
In 1998 Tomikoshi somehow made his way to Highbury to shoot Arsenal v Coventry City and the photographs do not disappoint.
Arsenal left Highbury for the Emirates in 2006 and although the new stadium is starting to feel more like home it just doesn’t come near Highbury for class.
The marble halls were looking majestic
Arsenal had some legends on show
I miss that screen but that’s not the point. I mean that team. It’s perfection. Seaman in goal. Dixon, Winterburn, Adams and Keown at the back. Vieira, Petit, Overmars and Parlour in midfield with Bergkamp and Anelka up front. Serious.
Freddie came on after 30 minutes
The new Arsenal manager came on after 30 minutes for Lee Dixon and looked managerial.

Tony Adams was looking cultured at the back

Petit and Vieira dominated proceedings
Anelka meant business
Arsenal won the match pretty comfortably. 2-0 with goals from Parlour and Overmars. Remember when Arsenal won games comfortably and kept clean sheets.
