This Liverpool shirt will make you think of Xabi Alonso spraying cross field passes

In 2006-07 Liverpool got the Champions League final wearing this lovely bright yellow away shirt made by Adidas.  We asked the masses on Instagram who it remind them of and there was only one winner.

2006-07 was a funny season for Liverpool.  They were between Fernando Torres (who had left for Chelsea) and Suarez (still at Ajax), leaving Dirk Kuyt (league top scorer with 12 goals) and Peter Crouch (top scorer with 18 goals) to take up the mantle.

Despite the lack of goals they were back in the Champions League final again under the guidance of Rafa Benítez, only to lose 2-1 to Milan.

They got there wearing this Adidas x Liverpool shirt.  The away shirt had a yellow base, red stripes on the sleeves and Adidas in the sponsor.  It is a modern classic.

We asked the masses on Instagram who it reminded them of and there was only one winner.  Midfield general Xabi Alonso, spraying passes from the base of midfield.  Glorious.

You can grab your shirt in our marketplace (now £29.99) and check out the full Liverpool collection here.
