This Newcastle concept kit is a twist on an absolute classic

Newcastle’s season may be looking pretty shaky, but times weren’t always so bleak for the Geordies.

The Magpies were known as a fearsome attacking force back in their day, and they had kits to match.

The Newcastle Brown Ale sponsor was emblazoned across their most iconic strips, donned by the likes of Alan Shearer, Rob Lee and Gary Speed.

One concept kit designer has modernised the club’s notoriously brilliant 1996 away shirt, and we think it would shatter club records if they went for something like this.

OK, so it’s made by Nike and Mike Ashley would never go for a sponsor as lowly as Newcastle Brown Ale, but how can you not adore this?
