Manchester City and Manchester United fans aren’t likely to agree on everything, but there’s some things that are much, much bigger than football.
On 22 May 2017, Ariana Grande’s concert at the Manchester Arena was targeted in an horrific act of terrorism that shook the city to its core.
The blast killed the attacker and, tragically, 22 people who were there to have a good time and enjoy their night out at a pop concert. In the aftermath, the city united against terror and instead chose love.
Concept kit designer @conceptkits produced a beautiful and poignant tribute to the victims of the terror attack, showing how Manchester stuck two fingers up to the suicide bomber and the hatred that propelled him to senselessly take the lives of innocent people. And we absolutely love it.
We’re late on this one, but we only became aware of this simple and brilliant symbol of how a city stood together in the face of adversity, and wanted to share it with you.
