Despite a late scare, Manchester United couldn’t have asked for a much better start to the 2018-19 season. Paul Pogba was firing on all cylinders, Alexis Sanchez looked lively, and Harry Maguire didn’t manage to dent their title aspirations with his massive head.
We talked about how we actually rather like United’s home kit in our definitive kit ratings this season, and we’re inclined to think the shirt’s one of the best in the Premier League this time around.
EVERY PREMIER LEAGUE KIT RATED AND SLATED

The black detail on the new Adidas United shirts somehow make them look that bit classier than last season’s white trim.
Although we’re not always keen on the ombre effect, the fade up from black to red on the shirts work really well.

The only real beef we have with this kit is that bloody sponsor. The Chevrolet logo is just plain ugly, but there isn’t too much they can do about that.
Fair play to United, they played well and, in their peng new kits, they looked good doing it.
