World Cup 2018 kit ranking: Switzerland’s kits are the secret bangers of the tournament

Switzerland had one of their greatest World Cup nights when they came from behind to beat Serbia 2-1, courting a bit of controversy along the way through Albanian-Swiss scorers Granit Xhaka and Xherdan Shaqiri appearing to goad the Serbia supporters. But we’re not here to talk politics, we’re here to talk football kits. Switzerland’s kits actually aren’t too bad at all.

Puma have stuck to the classic colour scheme, but they’ve introduced a dose of originality in the shirt’s print. Inspired by the country’s mountainous topography, the designers have woven a contoured pattern in to the print. A nice little nod.

We like the home kit, but the away kit smacks of a designer who’s running out of time and thinks ‘yea, what did we do last year? May as well do the same again.’ Nothing special. We’d plump for the home shirt all day.
