2011 was a glorious time to be a Spurs fan. Adele was number 1 with ‘Someone like you’, Harry Potter was smashing it at the box office and Harry Redknapp built a Tottenham Hotspur team that finished 4th in the Premier League.
That season Spurs wore a Puma shirt sponsored by Aurasma with a white collar and huge cockerel on the front.
It was also the breakthrough season of Gareth Bale in 2011-12, as he was named player of the month twice and in UEFA’s team of the year, where he went on to score 12 goals in 42 games.
The shirt has Bale #3 on the back with Premier League numbering. The shirt made by Puma, has Premier League badges and a white collar.
Bale went from kid who couldn’t win a game to superstar. He went on to join Real Madrid from Spurs 2 seasons later in 2013-14 for £77m.
As for the shirt. It is clean and simple and we think its glorious.
