Let me take you back to the summer of 1994. Brazil had just won the World Cup, ‘I Swear’ by All-4-One was dominating the charts and Gazza was entering his final year at Lazio.
The England legend had been signed for Lazio from Tottenham Hotspur in 1992 for a whopping £5.5m and not only did he score some ridiculous goals in Italy he got to wear some sick shirts.
In his first press conference for Lazio following the transfer from Spurs he turned up sporting a beautiful Lazio track top, flat cap and scarf. All the gear.
But the crowning glory came in his last season with this stunning away shirt made by Umbro. The 1994-95 Lazio away shirt was a 2 tone affair with dark blue with light blue sleeves and a sash in the middle.
Sadly Gazza only donned the Lazio shirt 4 times in his final season as he broke his leg tackling Nesta in training and struggled with Zdeněk Zeman’s training regime.
We think it’s a beauty for the jagged zig zag effect and textured print.
