Spurs have had some nice shirts of the years. The Hummel kits of the late 80s, the baggy Umbro shirts of the mid 90s and this beauty from Admiral. The 1977-80 Tottenham Hotspur home shirt.
The shirt was worn from 1977-1980 and is absolutely glorious. We love it for 3 reasons.
- The size of the club crest is absolutely huge. It takes up all of your left pectoral
- The Admiral logo is sensational. It is printed and runs across the sleeve and v neck
- It reminds us of Ossie Ardiles and Ricky Villa who signed for Spurs in 1979
The shirt was worn by legends like Colin Lee, Ardiles and a young Glenn Hoddle. Here he is smashing one in against United (around 1:30).
We think it’s absolutely glorious.
Not for me. I am more of a lover of the shiny LeCoq Sportif one a bit later.
A classic 👌
