Lee Sharpe reveals what Ferguson said to Man United players after Cantona kung-fu kick

Manchester United fans of a certain age will remember vividly the moment Eric Cantona lost the plot against Crystal Palace back in 1995.

During an away game at Selhurst Park, United’s talismanic French forward went nuts and hurled himself into the crowd, kicking a Palace fan in one of the most infamous moments in Premier League history.

And while Cantona received a lengthy ban after the “kung-fu kick”, it wasn’t him who received both barrels from manager Sir Alex Ferguson after the game.

Lee Sharpe, who was playing for United at the time, recalls Ferguson’s ire after the match, but the likes of Gary Pallister were the ones on the receiving end… Take a look at the video below. It’s gold.

A classic tale from Sharpe.
