These Ipswich Town shirts will make you want to turn your collar up like Mauricio Tarrico

The early 90s was a great time to be alive for an Ipswich Town fan.  Granted they struggling in the Premier League but they did get to wear some sick shirts.

The shirts were made by Umbro and represent everything good about 90s football shirts.  Huge baggy shirt.  A crest a big as your palms.  Umbro sponsor and little touches to make the shirts unique like the horse on the v neck of the away shirt.

The shirts were worn by Ipswich Town as they battled against relegation from the Premier League.  In 1993-94 they finished 19th just above the relegation zone but it didn’t last long and in 1994-95 they had a stinker and finished bottom of the league.  Ipswich struggled for goals that season and their top goalscorer Claus Thomsen scored a whopping 5 goals.

Claus was joined at Ipswich by Mauricio Taricco who join in 1994 from Argentina for £150k.  He made an immediate impact at Ipswich by wearing his collar up in his photoshoot for the sticker album.
