The shirt, made by Nike has a JVC sponsor and vintage Arsenal crest.  Red body with white sides and collar.  It’s a classic.  Shame Arsenal didn’t get the trophies they deserved that season.

History books show 1998-99 to go down as the greatest in Manchester United’s history.  A famous treble but Arsenal pushed them all the way and things could have been very different.

FA cup semi final

Starting with the FA Cup semi-final.  One of the greatest matches in FA Cup history.  If Dennis Bergkamp hits that penalty v Schmeichel that’s 1 trophy down for United.

The Premier League

Arsenal and United were neck and neck in the run in and things would have been very different if things went their way away to Leeds United.  It was the penultimate game of the season and a full blooded affair.  Arsenal had chances to win but kept on hitting the woodwork and in the final minutes Jimmy Floyd Hasslebaink escaped Nelson Vivas on the back post to make it 1-0 Leeds and to give the title to United.
