Liverpool and Celtic are massive clubs with equally proud and glorious histories.

But who remembers when two of Britain’s most successful sides met in the UEFA Cup back in 1997?

The absolute screaming classic was a roller coaster of a game, with both sides scoring memorable goals.

Michael Owen drew first blood in Glasgow with a delightful chip, but Jackie McNamara scored an absolute peach to level things up.

Henrik Larsson then won a somewhat dubious penalty to put Celtic ahead, but Steve McManaman bagged the goal of the night to make the final score 2-2.
