Why did Real Madrid wear their blue away shirt against Barcelona last night

Real Madrid beat Barcelona 3-1 in the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup last night.  Cristiano Ronaldo scored a worldie, was sent off and pushed the referee.  But that wasn’t the most controversial thing that happened.  It was Real Madrid’s choice of away shirt.

There are a few golden rules in football.  Wear your home shirt when you.  Always at home and then away if your away shirt clashes with the opposition.

Real Madrid tore up the rule book last night and wore their blue away kit at the Nou Camp, a clear clash with the Barcelona home shirt, presumably part of their kit launch deal with adidas.

It made for tough viewing for fans

It didn’t bother Real Madrid who turned out 3-1 winners.  In no part thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo.  The Portuguese striker came on as a sub, scored a worldie, got sent off and pushed the ref.  No bad for a nights work.

  1. I don’t see anything to raise our eyebrows on.The essence of the game was achieved.Any point of controversy again? The kit selection appeared somewhat odd,but don’t forget,Real Madrid is the oddest team ever.It is clear that, winning 🔙 to back champions league and UEFA super cup is a classical example.Hala. Madrid yana da mas!!!
