Is this the greatest ever Manchester City away shirt?

Manchester City’s kits are now made by Nike, which we all know means they’re the same as every other Nike kit on the market, just in a different colour.

But back in the 1990s they had some beauties. Like this one:

Not only was the maroon, Brother-sponsored kit that City wore between 1990 and 1992 a feast for the eyes, it also represented a pretty solid time for the Manchester club.

Wearing this kit, City finished fifth in the First Division two seasons in a row, with the likes of Niall Quinn, David White, Paul Lake and Colin Hendry in their ranks.

Quinn was the club’s top scorer in 1990-91 with 21 goals, and White pitched in with 22 in all competitions the following season.

What a beauty.
