Le Coq Sportif aren’t the most consistent of kit manufacturers, but once upon a time they manufactured beautiful Chelsea kits.
In 1985-86, an era when Micky Hazard, Pat Nevin, David Speedie and Kerry Dixon reigned supreme, the Blues donned a kit that absolutely stank of class.
Feast your eyes on this badger:
This kit was the final of Chelsea’s five-year stint with Le Coq Sportif, and the sponsorless beauty with white trim is a joy to behold.
That season, Chelsea finished sixth in their second successive season in the First Division, and beat Man City to win the 1986 Full Members Cup at Wembley.
It may not have been a golden era for Chelsea, but it was certainly a golden era for their football kits. Woof.
