Former Portugal goalkeeper Vitor Baia is the joint seventh most-decorated club footballer ever. Like Messi, the shot-stopper has 30 trophies in his locker.
In 19-year professional career, Baia spent almost all of it at Porto, where he picked up 25 major trophies, including the Champions League under a young Jose Mourinho in 2004.
Vitor Baia spent two-and-a-half years at Barcelona in the middle of his career. Bobby Robson signed him in 1996 and Baia only missed one La Liga game that season, when Barca missed out on the title to Real Madrid. When Louis van Gaal arrived in 1997, he dropped Baia and loaned him back to Porto, who he eventually rejoined in January 1999. He still managed to pick up five trophies during his time at Barcelona, including two Copa del Reys trophies, a La Liga crown and the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup.
Baia also played 80 times for his country. A true legend of the game.
