This Carlos Tevez goal for West Ham vs Manchester United will make your day

Who remembers when Carlos Tevez saved West Ham United from relegation by scoring against Manchester United in the final game of the 2006/07 season?

First of all, Carlos Tevez played for West Ham. Take a moment to digest that. Since then he won the title at every team he played for: Manchester United, Manchester City, Juventus, Boca Juniors.

It was the final game of the season and West Ham needed to win to stay up.

Everyone wrote them off but Carlitos didn’t read the script. He won a header, played a one-two with Bobby Zamora and bundled it past then defender. The ball ricocheted up before the Argentine coolly slotted past Van der Sar. West Ham held on 1-0 despite facing 25 shots on goal and survived relegation.

Fergie was not happy

They couldn’t have come to Old Trafford on a better day… we had already won the league and the edge was off our game.
