Tottenham fans may not remember John Chiedozie all that well. In fact, he only played 53 times in four years for Spurs between 1984 and 1998.
He wasn’t too bad, mind. The winger also played for Leyton Orient, Notts County and Derby County, while earning nine caps for Nigeria.
He bagged 12 goals while at White Hart Lane, playing alongside massive names like Chris Waddle, Clive Allen and Chris Hughton.
All in all, Chiedozie’s playing career wasn’t all that exciting. But after his retirement in 1992, the former Tottenham man made a rather peculiar career move: he started a bouncy castle business.
After hanging up his boots, Chiedozie rented and sold bouncy castles in Hampshire. Not many bouncy castle salesman can say they’ve played in England’s top flight and scored twice for their country. Fair play to the bloke.
