Why all football fans should be donning a football shirt for Football Shirt Friday

2017 marks the fifth year of Football Shirt Friday.  Since 2013, thousands of pounds has been raised by the Bobby Moore Fund and invested in pioneering bowel cancer research.

It’s easy to get involved.  You simply need to wear a football shirt on Friday 28th April 2017 and donate £2 to the Bobby Moore Fund. It doesn’t matter if you work as a gardener in an office or from home.  Get your football shirt out.  It doesn’t matter where you are.  From Atlanta to Zanzibar you can get involved.

West Ham and England legend Bobby Moore was just 51 years old when he died.  The Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK was set up by Stephanie Moore MBE, Bobby’s Widow, in his memory to fund pioneering, life-saving bowel cancer research.

Since the Bobby Moore Fund was established in 1993, bowel cancer mortality rates have fallen by 30%, and over £23.5 million has been raised for research. But there is still loads more to do.
