Watch: Who remembers this Figo stunner for Real Madrid vs Manchester United?

In 2003 Real Madrid played Manchester United in the quarter finals of the Champions League.  Real Madrid won the first leg through two goals from Raul and this opener from Luis Figo.

Figo did a step over or two and passed the ball to Zidane who drew in Gary Neville and laid it on a plate for Figo to curl into the top corner. Beautiful.

Real Madrid were laden with Galacticos.  Robert Carlos, Zidane, Figo and Ronaldo. They took a three-goal lead before Ruud van Nistelrooy scored a conciliation. Sir Alex Ferguson wasn’t happy but thought United were still in the game.

“We conceded bad goals but we are still in with a chance”

They weren’t. United went on lose the 2nd leg 4-3 with Ronaldo bagging a hat-trick.
