Some Arsenal shirts were made perfect.
And back in 1988, Adidas went and rolled out one of the best shirts you’re ever likely to see bearing Arsenal’s badge.
Worn by the side who would go on to produce their very own Aguero moment against Liverpool in 1989, Adidas rolled out a kit with red arm-stripes and navy trim, while the simple JVC sponsor in white made the shirt pop.
Ian Wright, Tony Adams and, of course, Michael Thomas were the players this shirt will remind you of, but it’s a true classic.
Thomas may have produce the club’s greatest moment in history in the club’s away kit (you can check that beauty out here), but this kit was worn by worthy title winners; a well-oiled machine of a team, built by George Graham.
What. A. Kit.
