The best Juventus football shirt worn in the 90s

Austin Long takes a look back at his favourite Juventus shirt and memories of Baggio, Ravanelli & Del Piero.

This Juventus home shirt for the 1995-1997 seasons from Kappa was the first jersey I ever bought.

It is beautiful in its simplicity—simple black and white lines and an appropriately sized sponsor logo—and the club crest is inserted into the base of the collar.

I watched almost every match during their dramatic run to the 1996 European Final (I missed a lot of class), which culminated with a win over Ajax, and I was hooked. Ravanelli scored the opening goal from almost no angle and then Jugovic struck the winning penalty in the shootout.

An amazing night. I was working for the government in Birmingham, AL during that summer and had a little extra cash, so I splurged for the jersey of the European Club Champions.  You can read the full article here.
