Manchester United fans were rejoicing when their prodigal son, Paul Pogba, returned to the club he left four years previously. Pogba signed for United last summer for a world-record £89million, having developed into one of the world’s finest midfielders in Italy. Although he turned 24 in March, Pogba has five Serie A titles, two Coppa Italia trophies and two Supercoppa Italia wins on his CV already.
Jose Mourinho said Pogba could be at the heart of Manchester United‘s midfield for the next decade, having joined Eric Bailly, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic in a new-look side. And, despite some patchy performances from the Frenchman this season, United fans have seen glimpses of his talents. But it was a different story back in 2012, when the talented young Frenchman left Old Trafford for Juventus. Following a fall-out with legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson, Pogba was allowed to join the Italian club for just £1.5m. And United fans weren’t best pleased with the France midfielder’s conduct.

For the record, Nick Powell joined the same summer Pogba departed. He made three senior appearances for the club before joining Wigan permanently last summer after loan spells at Wigan, Leicester and Hull City.
