The Chelsea, Real Madrid & Tottenham Hotspur players in Paul Clement’s best XI

Swansea manager and former Real Madrid, Chelsea and PSG coach picked his best XI on Fantasy Football Club.  He didn’t have any Swansea players but did have some big names from Chelsea, Spurs and Real Madrid.

Chelsea’s John Terry was the best central defender to have played in the Premier League

It was a pleasure to work with John. He was one of a rare breed who came through the ranks at the club. When he’s not there at Chelsea or suspended or injured for a game, it’s just not Chelsea. Along with Tony Adams, he is the best central defender to have played in the Premier League.

Zlatan had a huge ego

One day, he asked me: ‘What am I like compared to Drogba?’ I was trying to be political and say he was great with his back to goal, but you’ve got other strengths. He looked at me and said: ‘I’m the best you’ve ever worked with.’

Everybody loves Modric

Luka made the transition from Tottenham to Real Madrid fantastically. He is loved by the fans there, not only because he is a great footballer, but because of the physical effort he puts in.

Ronaldo was the best of the best

I think I’ve left the best to last. He is outstanding. Of all the players I have worked with, he was at the very top of his game. A Ballon d’Or winner with 50+ goals season after season after season. A wonderful professional and great guy. I’ve worked with one of the best ever.
