Manchester United great Sir Alex Ferguson can’t stand Paul Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola.
Ferguson made what some believe is the biggest mistake of his exceptional career when he allowed Pogba to leave for Juventus, with the prodigious midfielder aged only 19.
But the Scot, who won 13 Premier League titles and two Champions League trophies in his time, simply couldn’t abide Pogba’s agent.
- Is this Manchester United away kit the most iconic ever?
- When Paul Scholes did a classic Paul Scholes tackle against Arsenal
He’s said as much in his autobiography Leading.
He wrote: “There are one or two football agents I simply do not like.
“And Mino Raiola, Paul Pogba’s agent, is one of them. I distrusted him from the moment I met him.”

And Raiola, who also represents Pogba’s United team-mate Zlatan Ibrahimovic, insists that Ferguson branded him a “twat” back when United offered Pogba a new contract to sign during his first spell at Old Trafford.
Here’s what Raiola claims happened:
Pogba walked into the room and Ferguson asked whether he was going to sign the contract.
Pogba said, “We’re not going to sign this under these conditions.”
At which point, Ferguson turned to Raiola and said: “You’re a twat.”
Oh to be a fly on the wall.
